The house in Gaitanevo is conceived as a new home away from the noise of the big city for a family of physicians from Sofia. It is located at the very edge of the village of Gaitanevo, in its lowest part, close to the nearby river. The house is a prefabricated structure with a timber load-bearing system, external cladding of Siberian larch, and timber window frames with double glazing.The foundations consist of a reinforced concrete beam grid, raised 80 cm above the surrounding terrain as a preventive measure against flooding.
The house was designed and built in co-authorship and partnership with a fellow architect. Together with him, a comprehensive scope of services was undertaken for the clients, including site selection, design, construction, and interior furnishing.The house has a built-up area of 100 m² and was designed and completed in the period 2022–2024.
