Pine Hill is a residential complex of three single-family houses in Sofia, designed with a cohesive architectural vision. The layout of the houses carefully responds to the surrounding environment, taking full advantage of vegetation, sun exposure, views, and convenient access.
Each house comprises two above-ground floors and one underground level, which remains discreet thanks to the recessed terrain. The buildings are arranged in a fan-like formation from east to west, giving each house its own covered barbecue area and panoramic views. Retaining walls and gabions are integrated into the design to adapt gracefully to the complex topography.
The complex is built to a standard close to that of passive houses, featuring thick thermal insulation, high-quality window frames, and heat pump heating. The total built-up area is 1,610 sq.m. The project was realized between 2013 and 2016.
