The apartment is located in a building on Khan Asparuh street, built in the 40s of XX century. It is located on the top floor below the usable roof space. It has exposures in all directions. The large openings are in the south and east.
The project is developed according to the modern requirements and concept of a functional home.
For reducing the corridor spaces and achieving a spacious living room, part of the non-bearing brick walls are removed.
The hallway of the apartment is defined by a furniture construction. This intermediate volume gives independence of the two zones, but also connects them allowing the daylight to reach the entrance of the apartment.
The living room is organized in a common area with southern exposure. The window is enlarged to showcase.
The master bedroom has the most favorable exposure - south and east. There is a closet and a private bathroom developed to it. A new bathroom with toilet is built for the second bedroom and for guests.
The kitchen is a separate room with western exposure. There is a dining area and an opportunity for natural ventilation.
The main element is the apartment is the furniture wall separating the living room from the other rooms. It integrates in itself a library, a niche for the TV, as well as the doors to the other rooms. The sliding screens allow this furniture to look and function according to the mood and needs of the owner.
The kitchen is in monochrome range of colours with a predominantly white colour which gives lightness to the volumes. In the bedroom the volumes of the closet and bathroom break down in screens and glass partitions. The economical and utilitarian furniture, without any unnecessary elements, help to achieve minimalist design desired by the customer.
