The studio is situated in a former storage area on the ground level of a residential building from the 1950s in Sofia’s city center. The concept of the refurbishment that conveyer proposed is to mimic a caravan space in the urban city center. The backbone of the project is the characteristics of the space: prolonged form and proportions and also the historical ambiance of the building. The concept is to slide in an area treated in a retro style between two long walls treated in a modern way. This emphasizes the feel of a long “tube” space. The mixture of old and new gives the visitor of the studio a unique experience. To free up space for the dining and living area, the bathroom and the kitchen box are discreetly situated in the appendices of the long space. The living area is equipped with an extendable sofa oriented towards the TV and the view of the inner yard of the building.
